Problem for me is other then trade dollars there's nothing I search for Until I see it. I buy pre 1900 silver and large size copper and a few other things by toning color originality and eye appeal. I don't know what I want until I see it. But It don't take me long when I decide I do
Hmmm... Buying coins with a mouse in one hand and a drink in the other. What could possibly go wrong?
Understood. I don't look through every listing, but there are always a lot of offerings in the main series I collect and I have many holes to fill.
For the first time, I am also placing bids on the current Goldberg Auction and the current Legend Auction. I don't really expect to win anything, but I certainly have been busy lot viewing. http://www.goldbergcoins.com/content/ http://www.legendauctions.com I think that viewing lots of lots is one of the keys to recognizing "normal" surfaces on coins, so you can get an idea in your head of how series should look, in a general sense.
Always fun to place bids. Some sites are better then others for viewing. I will need a loan if all my bids hold (they never do so I am probably safe). Someone seems to always be willing to take the coins one or two bids over what I think they are worth.
