    This my 1963d cent. I was going to say penny and thought twice lol.
    It was in a picture framd for quiet awhile. And images are not that good but thats what happens when you use a phone camera.
    What is going on with this one. The images have not been altered. Just resized.
    I did not post this in the error thread i expect someone will explain it. Dave

    Looks like it was struck with slightly misaligned dies (MAD). Not uncommon in cents.

    Dave, Are you asking about the discoloration on the reverse? If it was in a picture frame, how was it mounted? Glued down to a backing board? Maybe the glue discolored/damaged the surface of the coin...

    Glued down on the rev. But what happend to the rest of the coin?
    And what grade do you give.

    Maybe it's your photos, but what am I looking for? or rather, WHAT DO YOU SEE that makes you think there's a possible error? Grade is damaged. .01¢ value.

    Looks as if it has been heated or scorched. That can cause the color change. As for the back not sure. ?????:)-O)
