A Lincoln Plaque by Victor D. Brenner on green marble. Be careful of these some deceptive forgories have been made and offered to collectors.



This is one of the first Lincoln rail splitter medalet varieties. This was made by the Childs company of Chicago.





Here is Civil War token variety Fuld 128/289b. This handsome piece is not that rare, but I have seen a lot of them with a big glob of solder on the reverse. I believe that a number of these pieces were mounted on stick pins so that people could wear them after Lincoln’s assassination.

 

This plaque is about 26"x21".

 

Maybe it's just me or a bad case of pareidolia, but does anyone else see Lincoln in the tiles?
