Yes, this is an excellent point. I probably was a (slight) headache to the dealer who offered Coin A (and in fact they had offered me very nice terms on it, and even put it on layaway without my asking when I had some money issues arise earlier). There is a reason the seller of Coin A is currently my favorite dealer. (I'll go ahead and give 'em a free plug- it's Atlas Numismatics- specifically Chris Baker at that firm.) So yes, I backed out of that deal, but just a few moments ago bought a different coin from them for almost the same price (no layaway or discount requested), paid up, and have apologized for being wishy-washy on this deal with the Ambracian stater, so hopefully all is forgiven.

Coin B (the Corinthian stater) has arrived (from FORVM Ancient Coins), and I have examined it in hand. It is a nice piece, sharp and bright. I personally would have preferred it to be toned more like Coin A (as some others stated), but I like it and think I'll be keeping it. (@Aethelred: knowing our track record, it might end up with you eventually- you do seem to end up absorbing some of my ancients over the years, as they rotate out of the Box of 20. How does that keep happening? LOL)
