WOW - how cheap can you buy plane tickets for ?

What I dont get is that any dealer or seller can get AT LEAST $19.50 for culls to $20.50 for XF's all day long from other dealers around the country & those dealers will send a rocket check to the seller. No offense but ........Sooooo why sell to you for $18 per coin ?

I was thinking the same thing but I didn't want to torpedo a potential sale.

I have bought things from fellow coin talk members, but I must admit that I first went through and read a few dozen of their posts just to see if they seemed to have some ethics.

To my beloved fellow forum members who threw this sideshow:

I saw it from the firstpost and figured, Geez its going to be so funny if they think I dont see it, so I let it run its course.

    w1a9c8k5:
Of all the buyers you were the most sketchy or the one I was most convinced of being a scammer.
Your insistance on everything but what I listed, constantly taking down the ad, and then poor grammar and lack of ability to come to terms with the deal, really just made me feel like you were a scammer. No offense but thats how you came off.
Also its nice if you would message ppl back instead of ignoring and just posting on this pathetic thread. not a good image for yourself right there.

    Coinkeeper:
Its also wise not to lie to ppl. when you switch an order from 25 morgans to 1 conviently after psoting in the thread, then claim you incidentally bought 30 oz of silver so thatsh why you need one.
Also who would ship one morgan to canada from the us for $17?
    Plus minimum was 10 morgans

    tlasch:
You can purchase the food stamps whenever you want. the $5 is a 1973
    the $1 is a 1999
If a foodstamp is voided it has no value. Mine are mint and original.

Therefore I have come to the conclusion that the classifieds is worthless here, 90% of replies are scammers/ flakes, they have a tendency to ignore posted transaction rules.

Suprisingly other forums dont have this problem.
Maybe the thread should be titled, how to read and follow rules of transactions on classifieds? yes? no? who cares? msot of the morgans are already gone, this was the only listing palce that gave me so much trouble.

Yall Have a goodnight, Ill be engaged tomorrow, and the two "buyers" were just a slight roadbump into buying that perfect ring...

I'm not concvincrd. What about the person who was willing to fly to you to buy the Morgans?

Agrred! I was willing to fly in and buy $6000 in morgans. My message states i would meet him at his local airport. I also have the message saying i will pay by paypal echeck for only a $5 fee, after that was turned down i offered to pay by paypal and pay the 3%. I have collectors here who pay about 22-23 a morgan so i could have easily made back the difference of the 3% or the plane ticket. I still stand by my offer of pay the 3% extra. As far as my grammar goes, my apologies i tpye very fast and go through many deal online. i guess my grammar is a make or break for you

The seller placed his conditions and terms on purchasing his coins, so I don't understand the problem. You provide no evidence that he is scamming you or anyone else. He simple will not change his terms of his sell.

Slamming this seller just because you can't agreed to his terms and voicing it in this thread is just plain wrong!

If you don't like his terms then just go somewhere else to buy.

I did not slam the seller until he started saying i was sketchy and a potential scammer. I simply defended myself after his rant and rave. I do not htink i said once the seller was a scammer. I just posted this to get others advice.

    Your question:
It is my opinion you implied this in your first posting by giving us enough information to suspect who you were discussing. A quick search in the classified section using "morgan" as the search term.

I know this is sort of after the fact but in trying to "stay in the solution" and make that kick-#$% deal happen. Would it be possible to use a broker in his area (like a reputable coin dealer) that would be willing to accept a PayPal instant payment for the actual purchase price + the 3% transaction fee + a 2% broker fee ?

In my first post i wasn't slamming anyone i was just asking advice on what coin talk memebrs thought. I hear of people getting scammed all the time on deals. Not saying on coin talk deals but it happens everyday. Yes if you wanted to research who the salesman was you could find out, doesn't mean i was asking you to investigate anything. I was mearling asking peoples opinion on the situation.

I guess i could have tried that but after him refusing the paypal transaction and the airport transaction i just figured it was only going to be a check or money order
