Just a few things I would like to talk about

    ACoinJob There are still some out there to be had.

    It's an 8.1 megapixel camera on a 25X cheap pen microscope, looking at the Glare off the surface in view. It's cropped into view, but the real mccoy.

    No I just did a screen cap of dime mint list. I didn't catch the missing zero till you pointed it out. Supposed to be 3 lol..

    He was asking about my dime list I screen capped. I posted a picture of the number of dimes minted and all of them read 290,000,00, when it should be 290,000,000

    Ah yes the classic '09. I remember when they first started to surface, and a member here didn't believe me at first as to how much money he could net for them.

    He sold individual coins at first, then rolls after he procured them from his bank. The dude made off with thousands over a span of a couple months IIRC, before they started to show up more in circulation.

    Low mintage?

    1916 German East Africa
    15 Rupees T (KM16.1)
    Mintage = 9035

    2009 USA
    10 cents P (KM195A)
    Mintage = 96500000

    Almost a key date, huh? :-D

    I know... was just trying to make a point.

    Someone mentioned $4500... correct, you can buy a 1916 GEA gold coin for that money or a 2009 no-P dime lol ;-)

    The "real McCoy" of.... what? Aside from the ridiculous would-have-been value claims, you also posted a link (in addition to the earlier posted photo) of what clearly looks to be a 2000-P dime, claiming it to be a 2009, while also saying...

    "Partial last number. RECALLS were mentioned P no P's were possible with missing last digit".

    This makes absolutely no sense, so can you please clarify exactly what you're trying to say or claim here?

    IMG_0515.JPG Maybe he was reading about 2009 dimes at the same time as reading about the 1982 no p dime. Maybe he wrong but no need to belittle him. There aren't really classes on this and I know how confusing it can be. Just leave him alone. Or give him information that's true that relates to what he said. Maybe something might click but you talking to him like that ain't gonna teach him anything

    Well since you are going to be looking for 2009 dated dimes anyway I suppose it doesn't do any harm to keep 1996-W in mind, but finding a W dime in circulation will be virtually impossible. They were not put into circulation and even if you do find one it won't be worth much in value since there are literally hundreds of thousands in uncirculated condition sitting in sealed mint sets. If you really want to add one to your collection I suggest going on eBay and buying an uncirculated (or Mint State graded) example.

    Books is an angry man. I can just picture him screaming at his monitor and banging on the keyboard as he posts. If you spend enough time on here you'll get used to it and just let him be.

    Getting back on topic...

    Aside from the 1982 no mint mark, 1982 dimes in high grade are another one you want to keep an eye out for. There were no mint sets that year (except for the very limited Souvenir Coin Set).

    Apparently neither of us know what the guy is trying to say or claim, so what do you supppse the more reasonable approach is: stretching for a guess like you've done here, or directly asking for clarification?

    Oh, and you're right about how confusing this can be, but just imagine how much worse it would be if everyone let every piece of nonsense spewed here pass without questioning it. Seriously, Tyler; give it some thought.

    Ok guys , lets stay on subject,,, and that is what B4B is trying to do. Tyler, your photos need to be separated more and readily identified as to what we should refer to it as, when we wish to discuss it . Such as a number or name . It is better to give your supporting comments using such. When a general member see a whole column of photos , unidentified or commented individually, they will either get frustrated and go to the next thread, or ask for clarification.

    Books is very knowledgeable and experienced. His advice and explanations are as good as any you may find. Members can ignore, answer in good faith, or accept they may be wrong, all with at least fair wording.

    if you know every thing than why would him giving out misinformation be so bothersome to you. Why care. Just let him learn the hard way if you feel like he not listening to you. I sure wouldn't listen to ya with how belittling you are acting.

    In my case, not saying it's bad or that B4B bothers me. It's just his style. That's all I was saying. Not speaking for anyone else.

    Sorry I'll stay on subject. I just feel like he spoke his peace once already. No need to brow beat the dead horse. That's my take. Not trying to pick on him, I just think trolling on misinformed people is a bit petty. But i apologize for noticing that.

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

    Go find one in MS, non-satin. I agree they're out there. But where? They disappeared. They are this generation's 50-D nickels.
