Out of curiosity, did you ever set up at the flea market with your goods including 2 or 3 new, highly desirable and popular items, and a big sign, "Swap for best offer in silver* coins!"? One possible source, some cities have periodic auctions of returns from Amazon or chain stores or of damaged freight. You would probably have to complete your trades (if any) after the flea market, but that's OK. I almost never see any trades offered at the flea market, it would be a novelty, plus the possibility of an outright purchase if they didn't want any items but just needed cash. August, getting ready for "back to $chool" would seem like an auspicious time to offer swaps. ===== * not "U.S." silver coins, you could pick up some valuable foreign silver if you know the market...
Hey Doug, Nope never did a flea market. I like the idea you presented though. Thanks. As far as the foreign silver go I am trying to offload my AG to Good foreign silver coins as we speak, but it seems no one wants them even though some are 92.5% pure. Go figure.
