Me too, sorry for the hijack... I didn't even know there was such a thing as coin bins. See how far behind I am...
Hey guys........no hijack offence taken. And if ya want to post your junk bin finds, by all means do so. @Brian Calvert .......Frank (treashunt) lives in the general proximity of my stomping grounds. The rest of the gang I know just by hanging out here on CT for so many years. Stick around for a spell and you'll find yourself making friendships too. When I first arrived on these boards back in 2007 I felt like you do........everyone's so knowledgeable........everyone seems so tight......what can I contribute? The gruff folks ya take with a grain. Most folks here are here to help ya learn......dang, they sure as heck have larned be a bunch.
Well, no pics of my junk bin finds, but a Japanese 100 yen isn't much to look at. Bought 4 of them in my recent foray into a local "antique" store's "five for a dollar" junk bin. Figured 20 cents a piece for an 80 cent coin was the deal of the month for me!
I once picked up a Swiss 5 franc piece from a junk bin. It definitely wasn't a bad deal considering the exchange rate.
Brian: Don't worry about posting, Ken @green18 has over 30,000 posts, and about 3 have ever made sense to me.
