I believe that you join as a basic member to gain access to the registry and such, but you still must pay for submission privileges
Well, let me ask an elementary question from a lifelong collector. I have the NGC ap on my phone and use it often. I tend to purchase my coins slabbed, but the occasion that I do want to slab a coin, I just piggyback with my dealer buddy..... Would an old hobbyist like me have anything to gain by joining NGC other than having additional emails in my "in" box?
I would not believe so, I know that PCGS members sometimes get special perks like discount admission prices and tickets to the PCGS luncheon and such things like that, and I would presume that NGC also does something of similar likeness. But if you aren't active in numismatic activities such as those, keep the fee price and piggyback with your dealer, thats a great option.
I mainly like it for the weekly (?) market report to see which coins increased in value and which coins lost. If anyone could make sense of it, they could become rich.
