Just wondering about how many companies involved in silver are experiencing replica's of their ingots/rounds? I saw a JM on Listia that looks like the real deal but was advertised as a replica. I can't post a photo as their site will not allow me to capture a pic.

Unless the replicas have a lower silver content than stated on the pieces who would care? Aren't they just bullion anyhow? (Maybe I've been watching too much Pawn Stars - LOL!)

There have been fake JM, Engelhard, and Silvertowne bars and rounds that I know of. Also fakes of generic rounds.

There are many fakes of about anything you can think of.

Education is essential to protect oneself from all things counterfeit.

this place is a good place to start.
