So, here are my questions: Plat: flipping ia "few" on ebay? A lot? A little? If a little what are you going to do with the rest? Chief: are you going to sell all 60 on ebay? I'm asking because I can't help but think that if someone's trying to move 60 of them, that's going to depress the price a good deal, don't you think? Unless you're going to sell them in lots of 10 at a time? Yeah -- me, too, but I have a theory: My theory is that when the Harrisons sold out, it caught everybody by surprise -- so those that wanted to purchase were forced to get them from the secondary market; and the sellers didn't hoard because they had no idea prices would go so high. With the Tylers, people were prepared: sellers hoarded, and collectors purchased early so they wouldn't be caught empty handed. Well, that's my theory anyway. I *think* -- although I have to check -- the same thing (on a smaller scale) happened with the DC Quarter sets and the PR Quarter sets. The former are selling for higher than the latter -- again, because I think the quick sell out of DC caught some people by surprise, and they were ready when PR sold out. (And I know, because I see the DC prices, and I've been having a hard time moving the PR roll sets!) So, to sum up: 1. Thoughts on my theory? 2. How can you sell so many on Ebay without depressing your own price (or are you selling them elsewhere) Thanks! Just trying to learn!
