What was once thought to be a hiccup in the manufacturing process (failing to feed a batch through the machine) may end up being nothing more uncommon than a severly grease filled die.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>On the other hand, the Double Edge Letter (DEL) coins may be completely different since these may be much rarer than the MEL counterparts. Remembering that the edge lettering process was not consolidated into the minting process until 2008, those 2007 ADAMS dollars were definitely fed through the machine twice.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>As with everything within this hobby, time will tell and for these particular coins, time can be your friend if you really want one and are willing to wait.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Had I waited, I&#039;d be a couple thousand richer. <img src="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u8/lcl1119/Misc/emoticons/brick.gif" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" />[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
