Been calling my local bank, still nothing. They said they ordered them will come in next week. I'm thinking about taking a drive into downtonw Chicago and just getting them from the federal reserve bank. I'm only 10 miles from there. Now just to get my lazy behind in the car and go get them. That's the hard part. I hate finding parking anywhere downtown. Maybe if I do, I should pick some up for you guys/girls and you can just send me the money. That is an idea! Is that legal? I don't see why not. Kinda like ebay BUY IT NOW for our group we have here. I know alot of us don't have the means to get to the bank for whatever reason (transportation, location). Thats just a thought.
i got 4 rolls today ... i will just look through them and return them to one of my other banks. So far, i checked the edges, they appear to be all 'P' mint, and they all have edge inscription But i wont complain if i dont find an error, its all in good fun
I was happily surprised with the design, I thin Adams looks much better in person than the mint release drawings. The roll I got was surprisingly free of bag marks, much better than the Washington dollars I got.
Those were not even close to how bad some of them were. The coin on the end of the roll had bad circular scratches from the rolling machine. Only two of the 25 had only very light marks, the rest had deep marks Handed all but a couple out at work for $1 each with one exception. One of the guys just got this quarter out of the vending machine and I was glad to make a trade when offered!
Well.... I got a roll, plus 5 loose ones. Man, there are A LOT of frickin' bag marks ! I didn't open the roll yet, but the loose ones and the ones on the ends of the roll look like crap. Sidenote.... I got 3 rolls of halves also. Got a real nice 69 and some UNC 91 & 92's.
Thanks dak, I agree, the quarter is a nice addition to my collection. The saving grace for the new dollar is that they will always be worth what I pay for them. I doubt they will ever have any collectible value. At the end of the run they may be worth a little over face for those that want a complete set in uncirculated condition.
ok, Just got a roll today at the bank. got one that has the edge inscription running both ways. Anyone see one of these before?
I received an interesting error John Adams coin. Adams is on the reverse, and Liberty is on the obverse, instead of vice versa. Does that count ?
