jfk large inagural coin

    My grandmother passed this onto me years ago when she passed. I couldnt find too much info on it. It says gilroy roberts 1961. Its a JFK Inagural coin. Does it have any value ?? Image151.jpg

    I don't really think that is what you would call a coin. I'm thinking more in terms of a medal.

    It's brass. I think a guy named Mansfield made these in 61 as an inaugural medal when Kennedy was to be inaugurated. He also made some with gold and silver, but not sure if those were plated with gold and silver or actually contained them in the metal makeup.
