Some beautiful coins, the Gallienus, the Owl, the Philip II among them The Silenos stands out, His face reminds me of Jean Marais in the 1946 movie "the beauty and the beast" And who wouldn't love a tortoise ? Q
I like just about all of them! My favorites are the Methyma, the lovely Lycian hemidrachm, the Gallienus tetradrachm with the awesome Serapis reverse, and the Kos tetradrachm.
Those are all wonderful coins! Personally, I love the grapes on number 6, as well as coin number one because I'm a big fan of small coins. AncientNumis
Gosh, another impossible ranking task! LOVE the Methymna Silenos/tortoise. WANT the Chios sphinx with Apollo and Dionysos reverse. Hadn't noticed the type before, now it's on my wish list . BEAUTY: The Philip II tet and Kos tet. Fabulous! Terrific rendering of Serapis on that Gallienus tet. Nice pickup! Love that Agathokles triskeles. Congrats on the fine year!
Jeremy, You scored some gems this year ! My favorite is #2, the stunning Owl. The strike conforms perfectly to the odd shape of the flan . #1 & #4 are beauties too .
