<p>
By coincidence I've acquired three coins of Roman emperors whose (modern-day) names start with "J" (like me <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />), and thought I'd start a countdown to what will be the ultimate J coin in my collection <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> (and one of the toughest emperors one could acquire). </p><p><br /></p><p>First off is Jovian. I've had him before but I ended up selling or giving away the only two coins I had of him. This one is a very nice replacement Jovian for my collection. I am a sucker for problem-free (small, missing chip at the top aside), detailed late Roman busts like this one <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />, so I had no qualms about picking this one up. And the reverse. Might be boring for some but that clearness, and detail! Heraclea really had some skilled die engravers back in the mid-late 4th century!</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa429/LurkingNinja/jovian_zpsu6gl02ez.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>Please post your own coins of Jovian <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />
</p><p><br /></p>
By coincidence I've acquired three coins of Roman emperors whose (modern-day) names start with "J" (like me :D), and thought I'd start a countdown to what will be the ultimate J coin in my collection :) (and one of the toughest emperors one could acquire). First off is Jovian. I've had him before but I ended up selling or giving away the only two coins I had of him. This one is a very nice replacement Jovian for my collection. I am a sucker for problem-free (small, missing chip at the top aside), detailed late Roman busts like this one :D, so I had no qualms about picking this one up. And the reverse.
