a nickel worth more than a dime

that is what the u.s.mint told us. a nickel now is worth more than a dime. because of the nickel price up last year. and big demand in china construction. and this year the nickel even up more. maybe be it will catch up a quarter too. the only way is to change the metal composition of a nickel. the mint is talking about metal plus fabrication cost and other cost combined.

what is the current total cost for a nickel coin?.

it should be around $0.12 a piece. that is including fabrication, metal and other cost.

    jeff nickel

jefferson nickel melting value downed from $0.10 to $0.055. and the lincoln downed to $0.006. i think the mint don't have to rush it for a change of metal composition.......
