I found 3 Jefferson nickels 1968, 1969, and 1970 all have the S mint mark but are not proof coins. I was wondering if the SF mint made non proofs for circulation? I know that because of the age they have a lot of wear. All three came out of the same roll. I dont see very many S coins so was just curious. Thanks

San Francisco made both business strikes and proofs in those years. Yours are just normal common business strikes.

San Francisco made both proofs and business strike five cent pieces those years, probably because Philadelphia did not make any five cent pieces during those years.
