I understand the mintage for the 2009- d&s are low compared to other years but it took searching through 200 plus rolls to find this 2009-d!!! And the ‘D’ has a higher mintage than the ‘P’ which I already had. Wow!
So if you’re searching for this one do not despair. They ARE out there.

Congrats on the find! I've found a good number of 2009-D here in Texas, but only 3 or 4 2009-P. Still looking for that AU/BU one to put in my Dansco.

    Thanks.

    Tex,
I’m in Florida. Just due to geographic location I think I would see more from Philly and you would see more from Denver. It was just a few rolls ago that I finally found a 2018-d. Not sure how they do the distribution at the mint but over 9 months to find the current year seems crazy.

Yes Vince, I agree with you on geographic location. Opposite of you, it takes awhile for us to find Philly coins in circulation here. I've yet to find a 2018-P nickel or dime.

Listen, I'd be happy to send you a couple that appear as AU to me. Just text me the address.
