After a long break from Japanese coins, I randomly picked up a 10 Sen Dragon recently. These remain among my absolutely favorite coins ever produced, and I still hadn't picked up a slabbed 10 Sen. The price was fine, so I clicked. It's not rare at all with a mintage of 20,357,439, but that's fine, I just really like the dragons.

And it fits in with the rest of the growing dragon family. Someday I'll find a decent slabbed 5 Sen. But I'll stay away from the gold dragons. They come at far too large of a cost.

    Here's some that I have pictures of. I never used to pay much attention to Japanese coins but in the past few years I've been buying a lot more of them. They're growing on me. 1874 japan 2 sen.jpg 1877 japan 1 sen4.jpg 1891 japan 10 sen2.jpg 1896 japan 10 sen.jpg 1898 japan 20 sen.jpg 1903 japan 1 yen.jpg
