The only downside to it (that I see) follows all online marketplaces... you are trusting the photos haven't been doctored so, essentially, buying "true" sight unseen (please add any that would be beneficial to know). But I agree with you. I've bought and sold more coins on eBay than from anywhere else; collectibles and Bullion. I've searched my area for LCS and it's hard to find one that offers a variety in my price range. One would be hard up to search what they're looking for and NOT find it on eBay.
