well for sure this one is a 44 D. No doubt about it. The first one is more than likely an altered date just hard to tell with the pics.
History repeats itself. We went through this same thing with Isaiah. Fake 1914-D Lincoln (altered 1944-D).
How about some links to the actual auction Lafayette. They both look very fake to me and I'm not even that much into Lincolns.
I tried to find the auction myself but didnt run across it. I'd like to see the actual auction myself.
Obviously then the OP knew this was a fake from the start according to the auction title and still asked why when bqcoins told him to be wary of the auction....
I'd imagine that he was hoping the person who was selling them was wrong...but didn't want to link it for us in the hopes of winning a coin very cheaply. However, both are obvious fakes.
Wow, I cant believe that this auction ended with that coin selling for $20.50. Thats about $20 dollars more than I would have given for it.
Why not, you can buy it for $20 or so and then turn around and sell it as authentic for more than that. I hope eBay pulls them.
Go to; http://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...Selling currency&instruction=&expirationDate= fill in the listing number and give this as the reason (straight from the eBay rules);
