I've had this antoninianus of Maesa since 2009 but never posted it to CT

    Cool! ...From collecting this period as a kid, I dimly remember the coinage reform of Aurelian, but never once did it cross my mind that it could have involved a new lease on life for the denarius. ...However transient.

    I know it's not pretty, but here is the Severina ant:

    Ulpia Severina, Wife of Aurelian Ruling 270-275 AD
    AE Antoninianus, Struck Jan-Sept 275 AD, Antioch mint

    Obverse: SEVERINA AVG, Bust of Severina, diademed, draped, on crescent, right.
    Reverse: CONCORDIAE MILITVM, Concordia, draped, standing left, holding ensign in each hand; XXI in exergue; Q in inner-left field.
    References: RIC V 20
    Notes: This issue was struck in all eight officinae of the Antioch mint for Severina alone, i.e. during the interregnum after the death of Aurelian.
