No biggie guys. Doug has to enforce the rules for even innocuous things lest we get overwhelmed with just commercial posts. I have seen it happen to many boards. He has to be the "bad guy", because internet boards need a bad guy so the rest of us can have an enjoyable experience.

If it helps, I have had my hands slapped so many times on CT that I felt like I was 3 again and someone wanted to play slap jack. ;)

I promise to post a review of the Quadrums I just ordered, after I move my MS and proofs from flips. I'll leave the circulated coins in saflips, which are in Dansco clear pages, or 3-ring binder pages. Thanks badthad for the tip on what to do with my current AT's, since I'm not ready to waste those.

That's great for Lincoln cents but not for Eisenhower dollars. Too large and thick. Won't fit into pocket.

    Thanks Thad.

The only pages I have found that can do that are the stretchable one's that contain PVC plasticizer and I want to avoid that.

When the coins are in airtites, a 2x2, binder stored in a ziplock, then into tupperware and stored in a controlled evironment..... PVC should not be a concern.

I would recommend what 19Lyds said but I see the OP is aware of how the coins can tone in such albums. Then again, all coins will eventually tone. Some materials just slow down the process better than others.

I personally don't mind my coins if they start toning, however, when I do start a series in Danscos (with white coins) I try and keep the albums as protected as possible by keeping them in a nicely dark and cool area of my office.

I noticed that keeping albums, too close to a computer, or on your desk, tend to tone coins so I had to move them away from my desk/computer area. I guess it's because it gets a little hotter around that area.

I personally wouldn't want to risk it. You might be right...but it would concern me.

Thanks! My airtites with the inner black ring are 2" in diameter and approx. 1/4" thick. They're too big and thick to fit into a 2 X 2 pocket. I tried and they're a no-go. So far the onl resort is to change to a direct fit airtite. This I do not want to do. 2 1/2" Eisenhower flips fit, not snugly, but well enough for them not to fall out of the 9 pocket BCW page.

No, they do fit. The link I posted is not showing Regular 2x2 pages. They are made to hold Silver Eagles or Comms in airtite holders. 1/4 inch is no problem.

I'm wrong. They fit direct fit like the ones the mint uses.

Whew! Thanks kjhair. I almost started another search to find out where I went wrong or what I had missed. I'm in
limbo now waiting for more 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" to come in the mail.

If you heat seal your flips and your coins are small
you can heat seal them in 1/2 of a flip trim it and heat
seal it into a full flip. You double the protection but
your cost only goes up by 50%. Unless you lose the
the half piece from the first flip like I alwaya do. :p
