I wouldn't worry about getting a girlfriend at 13 - it's rare that teenage relationships persist through the many changes in schools/jobs/etc. If you're still struggling to meet someone, online dating works surprisingly well at all ages.

As for software development, I personally prefer C but have a soft spot for C++ as well. It is a great field to specialize in and if you're focused and a self-starter, as it sounds like you are, it can be very lucrative.

I've managed and led the engineering teams for small and large software companies and I much prefer to hire someone who is smart and able to learn on their own over someone who just went through the motions and thinks their degree will get them a job by itself (especially when most universities don't actually teach real-world skills in the tech industry).

Good luck, and feel free to message me if you ever have any software questions!

I don't have a Colosseum sestertius to post, but here's a Pomponius Musa denarius showing Terpsichore, the muse of dance and choral singing.

C is old-fashioned, C++ is soooo much easier to learn (despite it being a not so easy to learn language) But I'm not worried cause I have previous coding experience in Python and a little in Javascript so alot of this stuff (atleast the basics) is basically review for me with different syntax.
I'm currently about 3 weeks in my C++ College course and we're already at while loops, do-while loops, and for loops. I'm working (for myself) on a program that predicts your death (Sadistic, I know) based on real death precentages and giving an exact authentic chance to live from 1 up to 100, based on luck. V1 is complete, as of today. V2 will add a whole new segment for death causes with accurate precentages. And personally I would say I fit in the:

someone who is smart and able to learn on their own.

    Good day!
