Maybe it is your very own custom Lego model of some ancient structure? :)

My gift is being shipped outside the country, so apologies in advance to the recipient if it should arrive in a slightly tardy manner. I had intended to launch it sooner, but that didn't end up happening.

Speaking of "outside the country", lo and behold, look at what arrived in our mailbox while I was having my AM nap this morning (I work nights).

Ladymarcovan placed this on my bedside table while I snoozed, so I opened up my eyes a few minutes ago and ... there it was!

    Whoa!
A bit of "thunder from Down Under"! Yee-haw!

This one, it happens, had an even longer journey than the trek ahead of the package I just mailed a few hours earlier! All the way from the opposite side of the globe to me here in coastal Georgia!

I did open the outer package to be sure this was indeed my Secret Saturnalia gift and not something else (I certainly wasn't expecting anything from Australia, though, so I had a hunch.)

Inside was a smaller parcel cocooned in cardboard and duct tape.

    And a very nice letter.

    WOW, thank you, @Ancient Aussie!

    How exciting!

Like you, I will probably be identified by my recipient since I had to put my name on the customs form of the one I just mailed out, though I did not put my username anywhere on or within the envelope, as you can see in my "mailing" pictures I posted from the post office earlier this morning.

After reading your letter, I now find myself wishing I had done the same thing for my recipient, instead of merely jotting a short, relatively impersonal, and hastily-scrawled note.

Something also gives me a hunch that after I open your innermost package, I'm also going to wish I had "stepped up my game" a bit more for what I sent out. I can only hope my recipient likes it. He was previously unfamiliar to me before this.

So ... as to what's inside that innermost package I got from @Ancient Aussie ... what do y'all suppose it was?

Perhaps a small Vegemite tea sandwich made with some very dense and rigid crackers?

A coin pouch made from wombat foreskin?

    Oh, the mystery!!!

Did I restrain myself and refrain from opening It?

If so, will I continue to exercise restraint? :nailbiting:

    Time will tell! ;)

Your welcome.......but I will be disappointed if you open the inner before the 17th, unlike me here in Aus it is the 17th tomorrow so technically I could open then......but naah I will wait for JA's cue.

But what if wombat foreskins are perishable? :nailbiting:

In one hour it will be December 17th here, and I'm gonna see what's inside that wombat f innermost package that @Ancient Aussie sent! I wonder if he's opened his yet, since it's already December 17th on his side of the globe.

    I'm still waiting, I can't wait!

But it's nice to see that my package made it to its destination intact!

Don't get to excited, you might be let down if it doesn't meet your expectations. But I will give you a clue.....it's an animal coin, not wombat foreskin I am all out of that this year.

In perhaps 10-15 minutes I will be uploading pictures of it.

I'm sure I'll like it. If I really love it, it will join the Eclectic Box, since I've done away with the 20-coin limit and $200 minimum value I used to hold myself to with that collection. It sounds to me like you carefully selected my gift and I assure you I appreciate that fact no matter what.

It is 11:55 PM by my clock.

The very brink of our Saturnalia celebrations.
