Picked up these nice gold pieces over the last couple of weeks. All for basically melt (the Escudo!) to 10% over (Kronor). Values as of the date of purchase...with gold in freefall it is a little hard to keep track.

    Lets go newest to oldest...

1901 Sweden 10 Kronor. NGC certified MS65 (from Great Collections)

1899 Great Britain Sovereign, Melbourne mint (eBay)
    1889_gb_sov_melb_obv_small.jpg 1889_gb_sov_melb_rev_small.jpg

1783 Spain Colonial 2 Escudo, Columbia/Bogota mint (eBay)

Any and all comments are welcome, including estimates of condition.

Great stuff, especially the Vicky and the Escudo.

Made a correction above to the mint for the 2 Escudo. NOT Mexico as first posted, but Columbia Bogota mint.

Very nice pieces! I particularly like the 2 escudo.

Great pieces! I've been on a world-gold-near-melt kick too, but mine are more mundane French and Swiss 20th century pieces.
Seems like a good enough time to buy, though!
