    I dubbed the Battle Creek "the Pink Eye Dollar" and still use it as my avatar on the NGC forum. Sadly, I had to sell the MS68 a long time ago.

    Because the MS68 cost $3K and the Battle Creek cost less than $1K and the Battle Creek was the far more impressive coin. Truth be told, I owned two MS68 Morgan Dollars at the time and wasn't overly impressed with either one, so I sold them both.

    Still, it was a good learning experience, the cheek has a certain look on an MS68 that is different from an MS67. Without that look, they won't give an untoned Morgan that grade.
