I'm a tease. I bought a nicely toned 1884O Morgan Dollar that ANACS graded MS60, Artificially toned. I purchased it raw because it was awesome. It pissed me off, it was beautiful. Before I submitted it, the ANACS rep at the coin show said it looked like legit toning. I cracked it out this week after stewing about it for 6 months. I haven't used my vial of Ezest in over two years. I dipped it for 2 seconds and rinsed it off. It removed ALL the toning instead of a little of it. I then decided to use my sorcery to retone it. It turned out pretty well. I'll resubmit it to PCGS. Why? Because I can. Stay tuned, I'll post before and after, grades and all.
Well, Sal beat me to it with the African Leopard from Ghana, but here's mine anyway. Ghana: 2017 silver 5-cedis of Elizabeth II, African Leopard commemorative, 1-ounce, .999 fine For further ferocity, if you look at the bottom of the reverse of this coin, you will see a ketos (sea monster) snatching a fish. Greece (Sicily, Akragas): ca. 425-406 BC silver hemidrachm A sword-wielding lion is pretty ferocious, I reckon. Swiss Cantons (Zürich): 1739 silver "city view" 1/2-thaler (1 gulden of 36 schillings) By all accounts, the Roman emperor Gaius (aka "Caligula"), was pretty cruel and crazy, so I guess that counts as "ferocious". Roman Empire: ca. 37-38 AD bronze as of Gaius ("Caligula")
