quote: "The prize ? Well, what else could it be - but yellow"

In Tsalagi (aka Cherokee) the word dalonige means yellow.
    The word adelv means cash.
adelv dalonige would mean cash yellow -- or gold.

    my entry.

Well, if it makes ya feel better -

1 - when & where (country) was the first coin auction ?

2 - When and what nation issued the first folding currency ?

3 - Who was the author and in what year was the first type written book on coins published ?

No extra credit or entries for correct answers :D

Happy holidays everyone and thanks for the great contest. However i would like to mention that since all we have to do is post something to become part of the contest its more like a sweepstakes. The prize is yellow i hear but the heart is even bigger to have such a contest. Looking forward to the new year's even more now ;)

Ho, Ho, Ho....Santa hasn't gone back to the north pole yet! Oh boy, this is going to be fun. I will say this in all seriousness, this site has rekindled my enthusiam of collecting Morgan dollars and now gold double eagles and half eagles.
I like the fact that this site enables collectors of all ages to empower themselves with valuable knowledge that otherwise would not be available. Thank you, Santa for everything. Oz
