OMG, I've been feeling the SAME way. Now apparently stupid eBay has some option for sellers that gives their buyers feedback only after the seller has had feedback from the buyer. I remember eBay when the seller would be the first to do it, not the buyer. I don't see how it's any easier or less hassel for them to hold off, come on, stop being lazy and leave feedback first sellers. If I ever sell on eBay, I will be leaving my buyers the feedback FIRST. If they are willing to take a chance with me by buying my goods, then I should do my part and give them feedback for taking that chance with me - for believing in me that they will receive what they are bidding on - for not going to another seller for a similar product.
I have the same problem with recieving feedback on Ebay from sellers. I always leave feedback the exact same day I recieve my item, the only fair way to do it the way I see it. I always send my payment no later than two days after I've won an item, 99% of the time it gets mailed the next day, yet there are these sellers out there that absolutely will not give you feedback until you, the buyer, leaves it first. You see, that way if you happen to leave negative feedback, the seller can retaliate and leave a negative for you regardless of how fast you payed. This is whats got me really fired up about Ebay. You can honor your end of the transaction, get your payment there in a timely fashion and still get negative feedback from the seller because you complain about slow shipping, item not as described and so on. Im in a situation right now with a seller who I sent payment to one month ago, usps sent my envelope back with payment so I contacted the seller..well...THEY MOVED!!!. So I got them to e-mail me their new address and I sent it again. This has been 3 weeks ago, I've tried to contact them 5 times through the Ebay system and have heard absolutely nothing from them. Now, Im planning on leaving them negative feedback whether I recieve the item or not. I'll bet you $100 that they do the same to me to retaliate. Its not a fair deal. Sorry for the long reply, This kind of thing just gets me upset...to say the least.
