    Hey gang!

I was at a coin show the other day and I ran across this piece. It's bronze or brass. The one side of the medal looks to have been made for more of a mass produced type medal and the other side (which is why I bought it) looks to have been hand carved... anyone ever seen anything like this?

    Thanks!

No idea as to origin, but I find the differences between the two sides extremely unusual.

    As did I...

It's really peculiar. The price was right and I took a chance even if I never figure it out... it's a neat little thing.

It was originally unifacial, with the obverse being the only side. The reverse was carved in later.
