Italian Somaliland silver trio

    Colonial coinage is some of my favorite. Usually because it blends design elements from two very different cultures, and also the coins often have small mintage numbers. These coins fit both criteria. I also have the bronze 2 bese and 4 bese coins, just need a nice 1 besa to complete the set.

    I'm interested in colonial coinage too. Those are nice, though rather pricey in higher grades.

    Yes they can get up there. I have not been able to get the later 1920's types for that reason... they are either fake or cost crazy money.

    Very nice coins.

    I collect Italian coins but I have not got into the colonial coins.

    You have to be careful with the colonial coins, they are heavily faked. Especially the Eritrea tallero coins. It's quite a risk considering the prices that genuine coins go for.
