BUONO DA DUE LIRE 1927. According to the GIGANTE catalogo (for Italian Coins) it's considerated R2 very rare. Mintage 1.631.500, in VF aprox 80€ UNC 4000
Because of the rarity and the excessive softness of the metal used to mint this coin is hardly available to the state mint (Gigante, Monete Italiane dal 700 ad oggi (12ºedition), 2004)
Love seeing these coins. Although my heritage is many things, I most closely associate with the Italian side of my family. I have a comparitivly small handfull of Italian coins compared to England and Germany, two other places my roots trace back to, but here are some scans from my collection... I am normally a fan of Aluminum coins, but these aluminum Italian coins sure have taken a beating before I got them, all of which came from bulk bins or lots Brass or brass colored coins just don't scan well...sorry about that! But long before Italy unified, there was the age of Rome...
Hallo, gentlemens! Pardon me from my wrong english (i am russian from Siberia and my english is not good). But i like Your forum. I have many italian coins, and i want to present some of them. Please tell me how can i show my images to my post?
