I asked you. I don't need what other people think I need what you think. We've all had things happen in our lives that were not what we wished would have happened, but if we give up hope in our fellow mankind, then why did I serve in Vietnam? Why did I teach for 27 years in an inner city school? Why did I help a family that needed help? It is built into our genes and if that is starting to disappear, I am glad I am older and have enjoyed the life I lived. My children are grown, but I'm concerned for my and others grandchildren if the attitude you indicated is what is now the accepted norm. I asked you to find out if you were serious or being ironic. I am fairly new to this forum and until I read more of what people write, I can only go by what I read to see what the attitude of the person who writes a post is serious or kidding.
Thank you for taking the time to answer. As a final note on this, there are new members joining this forum every day and if they read your post, they would believe you were being serious and they would form an opinion of you that wasn't accurate. I know many of you have been posting on this forum for a long time and know each others personalities, but just keep in mind the new people go by the post they have just read.
Apparently, it's becoming the norm elsewhere as well... and I'm sure for crack, gack, smack and whatever others "party favors" instead of the old staples of food, etc. Times, they are a changin.... I suppose.
I once was panhandling to raise the bucks necessary to buy one of SQG's 2015 reverse proof "dimes of the century".
