    Not trying to be irritating as the scientist in me pushes me. You say " I verified with other known weights ". were the other known weights "calibration" weights with it known weight impressed into it. Then once your scale is adjusted to be the same. your scale is accurate, it will show the true weight. You can't use a different coin or such unless it was verified by such a scale first. Jim
