    Hey there folks,
I am close to purchasing a collection which contains this beautiful Isabella quarter. Thea photos aren’t great but I’d love to hear input on grade. I’ll post more photos if/when it becomes mine. Thanks!

Looks like it's pretty much all there, though I think the photos hint at a bit of a wipe at some point. These are neat coins.

I would call it 53-ish and it's been dipped which is why it's so blast wipe despite wear. It looks like it has luster and I can't see luster breaks on the wear points but that could just be the photos.

But it's either got wear or it's a weak strike because the devices are simply not as strong as they should be. You can compare to my NGC-slabbed MS-64 below.

Of course, the issues I've outlined above could be because it's counterfeit but I cannot say it is or is not.

Probably worth sending it in to resolve all these unknowns.

Impossible to really judge a photo with the coin in plastic, but to me, it looks AU Details - Cleaned. I see wear, so it falls out of the MS range. I'd be able to give a better 'guess' with a better pic.

    Still worth about $200-$250

    Here's are my 53, 58 (Deatils), and a 63 as a guide:

I’ll post more photos this evening. The seller and I agreed on a price and I am picking it up today. It was part of a larger collection but I had it ‘line-itemed’ at $160 in my offer so I feel I did well. I priced it as a details coin but am hopeful that under more careful inspection it will prove to be unaltered.

My opinion of the OP coin is that it is an AU piece that has been lightly cleaned. I don't know that it would get a straight grade.

Here is the piece in my set which is graded MS-64.

How is the luster? Can't really tell if it's there in the photos. I'm thinking anywhere from 58 to 62

EDIT: Yes, I agree it's been cleaned from what I can see. It may get a pass though.

Better photos have allayed my concerns about authenticity. Looks nice!
