Is this worth the $80 I might spend on it? Ike "Railroad" rim...?

That's what we are trying to find out. Is this a fabrication or the real thing? If it came from a dealer, I would contact him and get first hand information. The coin is unusual and I am pretty sure a dealer would remember it. He may also be able to varify its selling price. If I came from eBay, it may be searchable as a completed sale, varifying the last owners story. China? Red flags everywhere! (No pun intented) May not spend the time or the money going after more information about it. Private party? Again the coins history might be reconstructable, if he is interested in contacting this aditional party. A receipt may even have this contact information on it. It will be up to the op to decide how far he wants to pursue this. His call, we only give suggestions.
