I look for weird serial numbers on my paper money and I’ll my give my nephew and niece a couple of these dollars every time I see them. They love it & its no big deal when they spend it. I got a dollar star note in my change a few days ago. They’ll love this one! They’ll be so excited and also show everyone they see...cause they’re little kids...lol Should I make sure that they know not to spend this dollar and tell my sister she needs to put it up for them later? Just cause the serial number is kinda weird and it’s a star note. thanks for any help
Ok, thank you for responding... I guess I was just wondering if they should keep till they get older, cause it has a lot of “0’s”.
I save all of my five of a kind serial numbers. Trying to get one of every digit 0 through 9. Not worth anything more than a dollar but it's something to collect and it's still worth what I paid for them.
Thanks for response. I decided to tell them to give it to there mom to hold onto it for them, after they show everyone they see...lol. My nephew and niece love it. I find it kinda addictive always looking for cool numbers for them. It’s something fun to do with just us. And you never lose money...lol
They like them . Because you gave it to them . They’re impressionable. Which means 20 years from now they’ll look at those notes, and recall fondly where they came from and that you remembered them . And most likely , hopefully, keep them another 20.!
Condition of paper currency is also an important factor when thinking if it has a premium. Folds and creases do not help.
Here is a website that talks about Fancy Serial Numbers. http://coolserialnumbers.com/FancySerialNumbers.aspx Those would have premiums.
thanks for response! I was really only trying to find out if it was wort anything... so I could make sure my sister held onto it for rhythm
Oops! I don’t know why autocorrect said the word “rhythm”...lol Supposed to say: “so I could make sure my sister held onto it for my nephew and niece” guess I should proofread a little better...haha
