Look at the population numbers again. With that in mind, a 1958 MS67+ FBL, CAC sold for $129,250. One of three, none higher. This particular example discussed sold at the Legend Regency 30 auction 1/27/2019 for $11,750. It might, repeat- might, bring $20,000. And that would be generous. So in no way would this is even be close to a hundred-thousand dollar coin.
Oops. Perhaps I need to look closer at the original post dates. Either way, when it does return that would still be my early estimate.
Yep older thread, but it happens (no worries). I think if the coin from the first post came back up for sale soon and in the same grade, we would see the same $10k-$12k, if not less (as can happen when something is resold in a short time and isn't a top pop). Now if it received an upgrade, the potential is there for a high result.
