I wonder how many large date 1982-D copper cents the grading companies have graded (and 1982-D small date zinc). Probably hundreds.

I have to differ with you. I believe this is a small date. There 7 or 8 variations of the 1982d dated penny. Make shure your looking at the one with the curve at bottom of the 2. Thanks

Then there is only one thing to do, submit it for attribution, but you will be disappointed.

Check the other markers besides the shape of the 2, which in this case has been compromised.
The shape of the 8. On the small date it is more of a snowman shape, on the large date it is closer to symmetrical.
The space between the 2 and the rim. Near on the large date, far away on the small date.

What i recommend is first to take clear in focus pictures. If you cannot do it then pay a professional to do it. Should cost between $50-90. A well needed investment. Then you could post pictures that are actually viewable.

It might be just as cheap to submit them. Either way is... E85210ED-A4B2-4157-B6D0-F8CE1049F00D.gif
