Found this interesting coin the other night. It is a common spot for struck through greases I have noticed, but never seen almost an entire word gone. OF in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is nearly gone. E4B048D0-5B8F-4504-8F7A-38BE6A52A567.jpeg
    Kinda weird right?

I was thinking so too. Ive seen hundreds of lincolns with very minor STGs on this spot. So maybe this one is a little stronger, hard to tell:blackalien:

    It's a struck thru, imo.

But see how the stain in that area
could be a bit confusing to some.

These are very common, fairly easy
to find, and although an 'error', wouldn't
be certified by the top 3-4 services, imo.
    (certainly not PCGS or NGC)

    Yes, technically an error......

yes the stain makes it a little difficult to see that area. I think you’re right. Im gonna try to see if some acetone will take that stain off just to mak it look better.

paddyman98 I just read Mike's diamonds article in coin world. He's claims this is a worn die,

I'm sure someone on this site can give you the link. It's coin world weekly September 25, 2017 volume 58 issue 2998 Mike Damon's article is on page 34.Title page, why some letters on coins get tiny. USMC60
