    No, it's a zinc Cent valued at one cent. Spend it before it rots away.

    It looks to me as if the area around the rim in the NE quadrant is a plating peel in combination with, and encouraged by, zinc oxidation.

    Well first off no sharp edges that would
    Provide scraping damage ,on obverse of
    Coin in between columns perfect no nicks No damage , Is lam damage and peel
    And I don’t know what you guys are looking at but trust dose not have 10 letters in it

    ....and neither does your cent.

    Everything you see as 'different' about it
    all occurred after it was already in circulation.

    Not an error coin of any kind - it simply did not
    leave the US Mint looking anything like that.

    Damaged - rinse and repeat -
