    Was going through my coins and came across this 1941 nickel. Don't know a thing about coins. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Interesting streak running north to south. Would you provide a picture of the side with Jefferson's face?

    Almost guaranteed that it's real. No one would make a counterfeit 1941 nickel.

    (Well, almost no one... and I've never heard of an "error Henning nickel")

    It's a real Nickel.. with some old soldering attached to it. It once had a pin attached to it. It's Damaged. IMHO

    It looks real (genuine) and worth 50 cents (?)

    50 cents? 5-10 cents. Undamaged, 10 cents. Damaged, 5 cents.

    Blast, one year from silver composition. In that case, yes, 5-10 cents.

    If it were silver, the melt value is 0.96 cents.

    Silver nickels are worth more than a dime. Do you mean $.96?

    1.00 is one dollar
    0.96 is correct.
    .96= 0.96
    If it was close to a dime it would be .096
