My sigma metalytics tester shows it’s not real gold. It has shown us a proper reading on all our other NGC and PCGS coins without any false readings at all. It is designed to work through a slab coin to check metal content. I want to avoid spending the extra cash to get it into a new slab. Should I try getting it scanned by xrf for gold test not sure if that test works through a coin slab? I have seen fake cac coins. That’s why if it’s the wrong metal reading on my machine my alarm sounds off. I know metal content alone is not a 100% accurate as a giveaway for a fake but my eyes currently are not trained enough to see any problems with slab or coin since I am new to graded coins. That’s why I am taking extra precautions to stay safe because China fakes are getting better every day. Thanks for the replies so far it’s been super helpful it’s nice to get some community help / advice :) I have Four last noob questions 1. Yes or no on the xrf test over reslabing the coin? 2. What’s the strange internal brown mark imbedded in the plastic on the corner of the coin in the pictures ? 3. Does the sticker on the coin logo look tampered uneven and shredded like the fakes? 4. What’s it worth to you if this arrived in your shop how much would you pay?
