As to the punch itself, the first thing I noticed is it looks like an eagle's head (my imagination?). There is absolutely no evidence indicating the "mark" was scooped out and the "flat" obverse proves it is not. Hope this helps.</p><p><br /></p><p>PS Don't sell the coin until you ID the mark.
