None of them sold on eBay are convincing fakes. I have never seen or heard of one made of silver. I would like to see one.

Granted, the coins they're talking about were likely struck in the early 20'th century, and in all likelihood the one I have was likely struck recently.

One of the reasons a lot of the modern Chinese fakes are so convincing is because they are made from silver in the correct weight.

Maybe so, but from the picture of the edge, I can't tell anything about the denticles. They all look fine to me. Please point out what it is you see.

If you look at the pictures in the original post, there are at least 14 clearly identifiably wrong things. Take a good long time, a really close look, compare it to an authentic coin, and I think it should become clear.

File a claim with ebay stating it is a fake After you really check it out. ( do more checking with a rare earth magnet and weight ,size, diameter to be sure)

The seller will refund your money and will most likely let you keep the coin.

My Dad bought a few from a guy on Ebay from canada and they came in China parcel post ( talk about red flags)
    3 of the 5 didn't stick to a magnet.
Weight was close BUT the diameter was off as was the thickness.
The 3 that didn't stick to a magnet also did not move slightly under the movement of a larger rare earth magnet (like .999 & .925 silver does)

STICK THE SELLER WITH THE FULL REFUND.
    Keep the coin.
It's the only to slow them down.

Im not talking about the reeds on the edge. Im talking about the rim. The denticles around the rim on both sides of the coin. Those little "nub" things... They should be tightly spaced and even. Op's coin isnt even close. Look at the obverse at about 2 o'clock. They seem to almost "fall off". Then look at the reverse. Some seem to have large spaces between them, inconsistant spacing, which also screams Chinese fake.

Run it under a metal detector and see.

I've already filed for a return. Seller has till Wednesday to offer refund and then eBay will intervene if he doesn't

14? I'm impressed. So far I've only been able to spot 3. I see the difference in the denticles. The date isn't aligned right. It's low and to the left. And you probably can't tell from the pictures but in LIBERTY the RTY is shallow and the letters are misshapen. The edges are rounded.

Okay, I can see the misaligned date, and the poor strike on the RTY in Liberty, but I'd still think the denticles need to be seen in hand for me to see it. However, I would question the stars on the obverse because they look smooshed.

He will more than break even. Aliexpress seller will sell a Morgan copy for as low as 84 cents with free shipping. Shipping from China on the "slow boat" is cheap.

Wow! Seriously? That changes my perspective on so many of my questions. At that pricing no wonder it is so tempting for people to try to scam money out of people. Now I kinda want to order a complete set of Morgans from every year and mint mark just to impress company when they come over lol. (That last part was complete sarcasm btw) :)

Just thought I'd give a quick update. The seller provided me a full refund of the $17 just in time to avoid me having to register a complaint with eBay
