Is this Die Deterioration Doubling?

Was stumped when it came out of the roll.
Looked this one up to see no known DDOs.

The "LIBERTY" going from thin to thick is what immediately got my attention at a quick glance. I was losing my light so took a bunch of shots...Thoughts?

    I am also blind ...
    although I see this

which is just MD/DDD and I see the camera being used is a wide angle one and being this upclose only a very small section is actually in focus. The rest of the coin just 1/8inch away is out of focus and creating visual anomalies.

The lighting also is such as creating hot spots which may seem as though it's doubling.

Maybe being more specific as what one is seeing doubled instead of leaving us guessing in other areas other than Liberty ?

a better condition 2006 D seems to have the same Liberty thickness issues

I just pulled a few out of a 2006 D mint roll. They have the same characteristics as yours.

Note that in writing in cursive some of the strokes are doubled by going over the same line as you write. Here is a 2006 D from the mint roll.

Well that's far more helpful than "I see nothing" lol.
I've been looking for some other ones to compare but didn't have a very full bag of returns. I didn't notice the thickness change so much on some nice uncirculated ones...thanks for the comparison!

Thanks that's helpful...the thin to thick looked far more dramatic on this nickel due to that die wear to one side (is what I'm telling myself).
Never noticed how much that Liberty goes from thin to thick on all of them.
    Thanks!
