IS this coin real, or fake toned?

    I'm not Jack, but I am familiar with the coin and Pat, and I believe you are correct, it is Pat's coin (or at one time was) and also his photo.

    No, my photo is better. I really am not a strike conscious collector even though I have tried to reform. The FB designation means nothing to me and the overall strike of this coin is adequate to suit my tastes. Heritage still has problems conveying the power of the toned coins they offer. If this is an MS68* with a CAC sticker, then eye appeal is far greater than these photos are showing. However, given the die state, I will not be paying a huge premium for the coin. Don't worry Mike, you can buy my 1940-D if I win.;)

    Goldstone, NT toned coins will sell at premiums over their actual value.
    Coins like the ones you gave, well, if they are that cheap, and no other collector has picked up on it, than it is AT most of the time
    If you want a nice toned coin, save up your money, and get a nice one
    I have many toned sellers to recommend as would lehigh...
