Put the off-center coin in a coin flip and place it in a binder with sleeves. Look at Coin Wizard (wizardcoinsupply.com) for products that are pretty cheap. Welcome to Coin Talk. On your posts, if the topic is on the same thing (error coins) keep posting to the same thread. It will keep pushing it up to the top. If it is a different topic, then a new post would be appropriate. As you read through the threads you'll figure out who has expertise in what areas. Don't be afraid to tag them in your post so they know you are looking for their input.
Fairly common as in the OP's penny is fairly common? I don't think that amount of off center is fairly common.
It's a good idea to always start a new post for new coins. Questions about the same coin in your original post are fine. I've already welcomed and gave you some advice in your other post. Good luck.
I think @Histman is referring to something like this. I made some for my great grandchildren. Available on line and hobby stores.
Hi, Haley, welcome to CT. Asking questions on here will not always give you 100% agreement, but I think you can trust the majority opinion. Your first quarter has a different finish from a freshly minted one which could be due to any number of causes, most likely from its environment. When posting pictures, it helps if you crop them and post full size. I did that with one of yours Makes responding faster. As to the off-center, they usually sell for between $5 and $10.
Hello @Haley♡ , welcome to CT. I'm rather new here myself, but the site has been very rewarding. You're in the right place. Check out the contest threads for some fun and the possibility of winning some pretty cool stuff. Enjoy and have a great weekend.
Welcome to coin talk! Stick around and you can learn a lot about this amazing hobby!!! The off center is very nice!! Definitely a keeper!!! Some collectors really like toned coins too so I would keep it too!!!
Got a question has any one seen a 2021 d Alabama quarter that says trey fought two wars instead of they fought two wars cause I just found one
No.. You need to start your own separate thread. What you just did on this thread is considered hijacking. Pictures are needed!
First, welcome to the neighborhood, Josh! As Mr. P. suggested, it is best that you start your own thread and be sure to post clear photos, close-ups if necessary, for us to evaluate your coin. It sounds like it might be a simple case of a damaged coin or partially grease-filled die, but we really need photos to make a determination.
